Guy de Maupassant described Etretat as “a fairytale decor with its two wondrous cliffs torn asunder".
Indeed, the village of Etretat nestles between two cliffs which have made its reputation: the Aval cliff to the left and the Amont cliff to the right.
From the top of the Amont cliff, you can enjoy some of the finest panoramic views in the region. Follow the footpaths on the Aval cliff to discover the stunning natural environment at the heart of the verdant plateau.
The cliffs of Etretat, part of the Grands Sites de France network, are cherished by hikers.
